2008 Winter Seminar Registration Form

DUE TO THE ASSIGNMENT OF AUDREY WEISIGER'S STUDENT TO THE JUNIOR WORLDS TEAM, THE SEMINAR HAS BEEN CHANGED TO SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2008. PRIVATE LESSONS AVAILABLE MARCH 7TH. ALL OTHER DETAILS REMAIN THE SAME.

The Skating Club of Phoenix presents a Grassroots to Champions Winter Seminar on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 5 AM - 12:00 PM. Featured coaches include Audrey Weisiger, Nick Perna, Chris Conte, and Sheila Thelen.

The seminars focus on teaching coaches and their skaters how to develop from the first steps onto the ice into a championship caliber competitor.

The main topics covered in the seminar:
1. Jumps from singles to doubles to triples to quads
2. Off-ice jumping for correct air positions
3. Correct take-off prints and landings
4. Alignment of body positions
5. How to use the jumping pole with Nick Perna
6. How Dartfish video technology can speed the learning process with Chris Conte
7. Proper equipment fitting
8. How to prepare for competition
9. Grassroots to Champions lecture on the process of becoming a skater in full bloom
10. Select tots, how to identify talent in your group lesson programs
11. Conditioning the body for skating at the elite level
12. How to create the total package

This event is FREE and open exclusively to all FULL Skating Club of Phoenix members (all levels welcome) on a first come first basis with a cap of 60 participants (coaches AND skaters). There is a $25 fee for Associate Members and Coaches. Due to space limitations, we cannot accept non-SCP members. The registration deadline is Friday, February 15, 2008. Registration check in begins at 4:30 AM located at Desert Schools Coyote Ice Center in Peoria, AZ. Breakfast will be provided.

Registration is required for all club members to participate in this event and there is a cap of 60 coaches and skaters able to participate. Please complete and submit the registration form by Friday, February 15, 2008. You MUST complete the form below to have a valid registration.

All information below must be completed unless otherwise denoted as optional. The liability waiver must be checked. Incomplete registration will not be accepted.
