Skating clubs have many things to offer skaters of all ages and abilities. Nearly all skaters, from those who have yet to pass their first United States Figure Skating Association test, to those skating at Nationals, belong to a skating club. Belonging to a club offers many things such as rewards, recognition, special events, performances, support and opportunities, but most importantly gives the skater a place to call home.

In all USFS sanctioned figure skating competitions, you must be a USFS member to participate. By being a club member, you are automatically eligible to compete in nearly all USFS competitions across the United States.

As a member of USFS, you will receive a subscription to the official magazine of the USFS, "Skating". This is one of the premier magazines in the figure skating world.

Skaters are encouraged to obtain a current copy of the official USFS Rulebook which governs the sport of figure skating, competitions, test structure, and provides other related educational and instructional materials.

Membership in the Skating Club of Phoenix entitles you to the following services:

• USFS Membership
• USFS Skating Magazine (one per family)
• Eligible to compete in USFS sanctioned competitions
• Eligible to take USFS tests and receive certificates and patches for tests passed
• Club newsletter and other communications
• Used equipment and clothing sale
• Skater support (assistance with expenses for qualifying competitions for eligible skaters at the juvenile through adult levels at sectionals and above)
• Opportunity to perform in ice shows
• Enjoy club social activities and educational seminars
• Free club ice time
• Test sessions and seminars at Club Member rates
• Discount membership fees for Families and first-time USFS members
• Eligible to attend club sponsored clinics
• Help support club skaters who are competing at regional, sectional and national levels
• Vote on issues at the club General Membership meetings if you are over age 18
• Part of an organization dedicated to maintaining the positive spirit of figure skating
